"Eerily like women's colleges". Oh no! There are no men in this bar to objectify and take advantage of us! "Girls over-analyze everything, and are only happy if they are in a committed relationship with a man." I pretty much hate the New York Times. I have to admit it was a bit of a culture shock coming here, even though I intentionally came to a women's college. But I only had to have one relatively long-term (if not entirely stable) relationship pretty much right when I got here, which wasn't, by the way, that difficult to obtain, before I realized that--heck, I don't even want any kind of boyfriend right now (sorry, longest sentence ever)! This sentiment is met with much confusion and hypothesizing-that-I-am-a-closeted-lesbian. But whatever. Wait, what am I doing up at 2:40 on a Sunday? Crap.
Wow! That was a really polarizing and woman-hating article. Women hating on women and the NY Times hating on women. Was the sub-text a poor men message or a see-this-is-what-happens-when-women-get-all-uppity one? And do women really put up with that shit as the article claims?
